The GF dual height fifth wheel was designed for 2-axle tractors for large-volume transport. The dual height feature allows the use of the same tractor with different semi-trailers.

The dual height fifth wheel is available with a basic height of 167 mm and with 3 different raised heights of 100, 150 and 200 mm. It was designed for an imposed load of 15 000 kg and in particular for the use of mega trailers.

NEW - Three new sensors make hitching even more easy.

With the Remote Control Safety System (RECOSS®), SAF-HOLLAND Verkehrstechnik has designed the first safety sensor system for fifth wheels.

The RECOSS® series is now five years old. It has been proven and tested in thousands of trucks. It has also been approved by the German Technical Inspection Authority (TÜV) and checked in accordance with the European CE guidelines.

The system is now available at nearly all vehicle manufacturers ex works for all SK-S 36.20 fifth wheels, regardless of specifications such as low-maintenance plate, direct mounting, various construction heights or height-adjustable fifth wheel.

Our SK-S 36.20 fifth wheels can be retrofitted. Easily and at low costs with the RECOSS® retrofit kit.

Safety - Electronic assistant helps the driver

It is the driver’s duty to make sure that everything is engaged and locked correctly – after every coupling process and after every driving break.

RECOSS® gives the driver electronic assistance in doing this so that neither carelessness nor sabotage or technical faults are accident risks.
